Paul Ross

Venture Partner - Wealth/Asset Management

Paul joined Bridgewater in 2004 and was most recently Head of the Investment Engine where he was responsible for the firm's investment activity across a team of ~400 people: from Research and Idea Generation at the Investment Committee through Portfolio Management, Operations and Trade Execution. He was a senior member of the firm's Operating Committee and a Partner of the firm.

Previously, he was Co-Head of Client Service and Marketing, focused on building strategic relationships with the largest investors in the world and developing investment and research strategies to meet their objectives.

Paul's work has spanned the intersection of investment research, client service, and technology. For several years, Paul led Digital Strategy and Transformation, where he built Bridgewater's industry-leading client-facing digital research and analytics platform that enables clients to understand markets, stress-test portfolio ideas, build and manage investment portfolios.

He has published numerous pieces of research on a variety of portfolio, market, and economic topics. Paul is also a Venture Partner at Switch Ventures.

Paul graduated with high honors in Economics from Harvard University, with a secondary focus in Photography. After graduating, he worked at an investment bank in New York focused on media and technology; and, has also worked at one of the largest banks in Canada and in France.

He lives with his family in Connecticut, and is a devoted husband and father of three.
